HeadSTART
Three months before starting your journey at Centennial, you’ll be invited to join the headSTART program, to prepare you for Day 1 of college!
This program includes a series of workshops, online modules and reminders to make sure students can succeed personally, academically, and professionally. From help with skills assessments, to learning about college culture, to help with registration, headSTART has it all.
A key part of headSTART is the COLTS Calls Calling Campaign, where our work-study students get in touch with you to make sure you’re able to complete everything you need to finish registering.
Orientation
Orientation is a set of events that welcomes you to college, and help guarantee your personal, academic and social success. Orientation includes webinars, community-building sessions, and presentations from faculty, staff and peers.
Get Ready to Belong: Meet the Student Life team, your Student Association, and current students. They’ll share their tips and tricks on how to make the most out of your time at Centennial, and get you connected to resources, support and friends.
Get Ready to Learn: Meet your teachers and classmates, and get ready to learn all about what to expect in your specific program.
Get Ready to Start: Meet the team of Centennial College experts who will help you navigate through all of the systems on campus, from building your timetable, to logging into the campus Wi-Fi, and everything in between.
STARTStrong
Workshops are offered by the Learning Strategists, Libraries and Learning Centres in collaboration with the headSTART team.
