Do you want to get better at public speaking – much better? Are you looking for a leadership challenge within a supportive and structured environment led by Centennial students and alumni? Join Centennial Toastmasters and you will develop your communication and leadership skills, that employers value.
Centennial Toastmasters is a chapter of Toastmasters International, an organization devoted to developing public speaking and leadership skills. Toastmasters clubs all over the world have helped countless people become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.
Centennial Toastmasters is run by students and alumni, for students and alumni. Membership fees are supported by the Career Services and Co-operative Education Department and the Office of Alumni Engagement. We are part of District 123 (Toronto in the south, East to Belleville, North to Moosonee, West to Sault Ste. Marie)
- Develop your public speaking skills by writing speeches and presenting to club members
- Demonstrate your leadership skills
- Practice networking in a supportive environment
- Any Centennial student is welcome to join Centennial Toastmasters.
- A member who has not held any Officer role before is encouraged to hold an Officer role in the club, such as President, VP Membership, VP Education, VP Public Relations, Secretary, or Sergeant-at-Arms to further develop their communication, leadership, team work, and other skills
Centennial Toastmasters meets virtually from July 1 – June 30 via Zoom on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. – 8.30 p.m. We meet online weekly and occasionally host hybrid events. Join a meeting anytime!

- Students are welcome to attend 3 trial meetings before signing up officially. Membership form to be provided by the VP Membership.
- Student's new member fee will be covered by the College.
- Any student or new alumnus holding an Officer position (President, VP Membership, VP Education, VP Public Relations, Secretary, or Sergeant-at-Arms) will receive a complimentary membership for their term (June 1 to July 30)
