If you’re looking to find off-campus housing, there are a number of tools and services available to you to ensure you feel supported in this process. The Centennial Housing Service can help you with easy-to-access support through drop-in sessions offered by our staff.

If you’re looking for housing off campus, the Centennial Housing Service endorses the following off-campus housing services:
- The Canada Homestay Network pairs students with local families near the College. There are various levels of commitment and costs to home stay, and the concept of home stay is to be part of the family you are staying with. Canada Homestay Network is endorsed by Centennial College as the preferred homestay provider.
- Access Housing Newcomers act as a matchmaker, bringing together tenants and landlords through their extensive network of homes and their access to numerous platforms. They also assist foreigners with city adjustment so they can enjoy everything Canada has to offer.
- Places4Students provides a searchable database of housing options, with information and pictures of each listing so you can see properties before contacting the landlord. You can search for properties by Centennial campus to see what options are around your home campus.
Most cities, towns or regions have housing support services. Call 311 for information on the City of Toronto's services and programs, or search online for housing support services in your city, town, or region to learn more. The Housing Help Centre and East York East Toronto Family Resources are community resources near Centennial that work with individuals one on one to support finding long-term housing.

Housing Help Centre
The Housing Help Centre works with individuals one on one to help find and maintain affordable housing. They provide service in the City of Toronto and York Region. You can call them to schedule a meeting, attend their information sessions, explain your situation and needs and they will help connect to resources, including current housing availabilities and landlords. The Housing Help Centre also provides information about financial assistance programs such as a rent bank, electricity funds, and more.
East York East Toronto Family Resources (EYET)
The East York Housing Help Centre provides a list of current affordable housing listings (across the GTA) and housing assistance in addition to other supports such as financial assistance programs.
In addition to Places4Students, you can try these rental search websites to find listings. Be sure you have reviewed the tips for avoiding rental scams before agreeing to accommodation.
