Bruce Williams is a proud Centennial College alumnus and long-time employee whose career has come full circle at the institution that helped shape his professional foundation. With a deep belief in the power of connection, Bruce is passionate about strengthening Centennial’s global alumni network and creating meaningful opportunities for graduates to re-engage with their College community.
As a member of the Alumni Advisory Committee, Bruce brings both strategic insight and a collaborative spirit. He is committed to supporting the College in any way he can - whether through a marketing lens, direct alumni outreach, or leveraging his own networks to amplify engagement opportunities. His goal is simple but powerful: to help Centennial reconnect with more alumni and deepen the sense of community that defines the institution.
Bruce’s journey with Centennial began as a student in Journalism, following an earlier university experience that didn’t align with his learning style. At Centennial, he discovered a hands-on, applied approach to education that immediately resonated with him. From working on The Observer community newspaper to learning from industry-experienced instructors in small, engaging classes, Bruce gained both practical skills and the confidence to succeed in his field.
Returning to Centennial later in his career marked a defining milestone. What began as a professional opportunity quickly became a personal homecoming, offering him leadership growth, mentorship, and a renewed sense of purpose. He describes Centennial as an institution unlike any other - one that genuinely invests in its students, employees, and broader community.
Bruce encourages current students and graduates to stay closely connected to their instructors, peers, and the College itself. He emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning and giving back - whether through mentorship, guest speaking, hiring graduates, or participating in advisory roles. For Bruce, staying engaged is not just beneficial, but essential to strengthening the ecosystem that once supported each of us.
At the heart of his message is a simple belief: Centennial is more than a college - it is a community. And by staying connected, supporting one another, and giving back, that community becomes stronger, more resilient, and more impactful for everyone involved.
