Give back, stay connected, and make a difference! Centennial alumni have a variety of ways to get involved - from mentoring students and guest speaking in classrooms, to supporting networking events, committees, and special programs. Volunteering is a meaningful way to share your experience, inspire the next generation, and strengthen your connection to the Centennial community.
If any of these opportunities interest you, contact the Alumni Office today at alumni@centennialcollege.ca or 416-289-5218 to learn more and get involved!
Share your journey from Centennial to your current career!
Alumni guest speakers play a meaningful role in inspiring today’s learners by bringing real-world insight into the classroom. From program-specific talks to industry networking events, you’ll have opportunities to connect with students, offer guidance, and expand your own professional network. If you love sharing your story and giving back, this is a great way to get involved.
Time Commitment
We value any time our alumni can give, and volunteer opportunities are designed to be flexible and manageable:
- In-Class Guest Speaking: 1–2 hours
- Networking Events: 2–4 hours
These engagements fit easily into a busy schedule while still making a meaningful impact on students.
The Alumni Advisory Committee (AAC) is a key connection point between Centennial College and its alumni community. The committee provides valuable insight, guidance, and recommendations that help strengthen alumni engagement, support institutional priorities, and foster a lifelong relationship between alumni and the College.
AAC members play an important role in ensuring alumni voices shape Centennial’s programs, events, communications, and long-term engagement strategies.
Time Commitment
Attend four scheduled meetings per year (2 in person, 2 virtual), with occasional additional meetings during peak periods.
Program Advisory Committees (PACs) play a vital role in strengthening the connection between Centennial College and the industries we serve. PAC members help evaluate the effectiveness of our academic programs and identify emerging trends, ensuring our curriculum remains timely, relevant, and responsive to shifting industry needs.
By sharing insights on evolving skills, technologies, and workplace expectations, PAC members help shape program development and ensure Centennial students graduate ready to succeed in today’s - and tomorrow’s - job market.
Time Commitment
PACs meet twice a year, with meetings held either virtually or in person, depending on the program coordinator.
Join us at Centennial’s Convocation and help celebrate the next generation of graduates! Alumni volunteers play a key role in welcoming new graduates, sharing your story, promoting alumni programs and opportunities, and connecting with fellow alumni and students.
Convocation is a fantastic way to give back, network, and inspire new Centennial graduates as they begin their own journeys. Be part of this special day and help make it unforgettable!
Time Commitment
Convocation takes place every June. Volunteer time can range from 1–4 hours, depending on your availability and what you’re willing to contribute. Every bit of your time helps make the celebration memorable for our new graduates!
