About Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving and the unofficial opening day of the giving season. It is an opportunity to make a difference by donating, volunteering, encouraging kindness, helping a neighbour and celebrating generosity.
Last year, more than six million Canadians rose to the challenge of donating and doing good things in their communities, joining 150 countries taking part in Giving Tuesday.
This year, Giving Tuesday takes place on Tuesday, December 3.
How Centennial Celebrates Giving Tuesday
Every year, the Office of Development spearheads Centennial’s Giving Tuesday campaign to raise money in support of students experiencing vulnerability.
This year, we’re mobilizing students, staff, faculty, donors and alumni alike to rally around this important annual tradition to uplift lives and strengthen our community!
2024 Campaign: The Student Emergency Fund and The Student Opportunity Fund
For 2024, all donations to our Giving Tuesday campaign will directly support the Student
Emergency Fund and/or the Student Opportunity Fund at Centennial College. The choice is yours!
The Student Emergency Fund is a vital resource that provides immediate support for students facing challenges accessing housing, food or other needs.
The Student Opportunity Fund helps students access a wide variety of learning and skill development opportunities, such as conferences and competitions.
The Centennial College Student Association Inc. has generously offered to MATCH all donations up to a total of $15,000, meaning your impact will be doubled!
