Sexual Violence Prevention
Members of IIRH, provide collaborative consultation and advisory services across a number of college-wide initiatives:
Anti-Black Racism Task Force
- Centennial College established the Anti-Black Racism Task Force (ABTRF) in 2020 to ensure change and accountability in all operational areas including programs and services, workplace environment, and community relations.
Envisioning Black Futures
- All Black and racialized allies – employees and students – to an exciting consultation, Envisioning Black Futures. Participants will share their desires and visions to promote the ongoing work towards Black flourishing, anti-racism, institutional development and success at Centennial College.
Harassment, Discrimination and Alternate Dispute Resolution Review
- The initiative is an IIRH coordinated review of Centennial’s human rights and alternate dispute resolution infrastructure to identify strengths and opportunities for improved efficacy for the benefit of students, support staff, administrators and faculty.
Indigenous Strategic Framework
- IIRH supports the operationalization of the framework as facilitator and partner with Indigenous and other members of the College internal and external community.
Sexual Violence and Sexual Misconduct Policy and Procedures Review
- Centennial College is embarking on a review of the current Sexual Violence Policy and Procedures. Led in partnership with the Innovation, Inclusion, Reconciliation and Healing portfolio and Student Life, Engagement and Development division, our goal is to develop policy revisions that centre survivors of sexual violence, clarify language and processes about reporting and disclosures, and utilize trauma-informed principles.
Understanding Our Culture – Centennial College IEDI Culture Assessment
- Through the exploration of perceptions and experiences of members of our College community, Understanding our Centennial Culture is a groundbreaking and courageous initiative to further the College’s understanding of the impact of its Indigenous education, equity, diversity and inclusion (IEDI) work; and related gaps in our planning and services.
