Yes. Students who previously attended a private career college can apply to Centennial College, provided they meet the admission requirements for their chosen program.

Your previous learning may be eligible for recognition through Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR). This process allows you to demonstrate that you have already achieved the learning outcomes of specific Centennial courses. Credit is awarded only when the required assessment is successfully completed.

This depends on the program you choose and the outcome of any PLAR assessments. You may be able to receive credit for certain courses, which could reduce the number of courses you need to complete. However, this does not guarantee entry into an advanced semester.

If available, we recommend having your private career college transcript, course outlines, program information and any certificates or other documentation demonstrating your previous learning.

Yes. You do not need to have completed your previous program to apply to Centennial College. Admission will depend on the requirements of the Centennial program you select.

PLAR assessments are normally subject to applicable fees, however we will waive them for students transferring from private career colleges.
