The end of the spring semester at Centennial College means many students are going to be graduating soon. If that’s you, you certainly have a lot to think about, including attending convocation, but more importantly, what you’ll be doing after graduation. We can help you chart your post-school course with the events we’ll be holding during Grad Prep Week. It kicks off next Wednesday, March 29th, followed by individual campus sessions that will take place the week after, from April 4-6. The sessions include complimentary meals, draws, prizes and entertainment. If you’re graduating this semester, you should have already received your email invitation. Here’s why you should be going, and what you can get out of attending.
1) You’ll learn how graduation works
Convocations for this semester’s graduates take place from June 12-16, and there’s a lot you need to know about them. You need to complete your application to graduate, pick up your invitations and gowns, sign up for your grad photos and your diploma framing, among other things. Luckily, we’ll tell you all you need to know during these sessions. Just remember to bring a notebook to write it all down!
2) Find out about all the benefits you get as an alumnus
Hopefully, you’ve made use of all of the free services the college offers during your time here. The good news is that we’ll continue to offer special services, benefits and savings after you graduate since you’ll be a part of the Centennial College Alumni Association. These benefits include access to special job hunting boards and services, a discounted membership to the Athletic and Wellness Centre and services at our Spa, as well as discounts on everything from amusement parks to home and auto insurance through our corporate partnerships. Come to any of the sessions to learn more about the host of alumni benefits.
3) Get some free stuff!
Another straightforward, good reason to come: There’s free stuff you can win. There will be contests and giveaways during Grad Prep Week, so attending could literally pay off for you.
At the April session dates, you could win 1 of 5 Deluxe VIP Graduation Packages to be raffled at the campus sessions. Raffle prizes will also include tons of electronic devices (iPod, Apple TVs, GoPros, wireless earbuds, etc…), diploma frames, gift cards and so much more!
All you have to do is register and attend to be eligible to win and receive your Grad gift.
We’re expecting upwards of 1900 students, so be sure to register! If you haven’t received your email invite, contact the Alumni Office at 416-289-5218 or alumni@centennialcollege.ca.
