Centennial College has partnered with BorderPass to offer all full-time international students access to its premium Canadian immigration services. Whether to study, work, or build a new life, BorderPass provides international students with the tools to assess and manage the immigration pathway with transparency and confidence.
BorderPass manages the entire immigration process for international students, including applications for new visas with automatic prompts within the platform. By combining legal expertise with advanced technology, BorderPass can make the process more efficient, and cost-effective for international students. BorderPass also provides students with better visibility into compliance and the entire immigration journey and longer-term potential for Permanent Residency.
You will receive an e-mail invitation to sign up. A link to the site is also available on the College's website. Login to your account using your myCentennial ID and password via Single sign-on (SSO). You should have your Centennial credentials (myCentennial email address and student number) with you when you sign up. The process to sign up should take no longer than 10 minutes, and access to a BorderPass membership is free for all Centennial international students.
BorderPass will be available to all international students who are actively enrolled at Centennial College as of Monday, October 30, 2023.

BorderPass Membership and Services
Your BorderPass access includes:
- Notifications of key dates, continuous monitoring and management of visas and immigration documentation in BorderPass’ Document Vault.
- Relationship with Canadian immigration lawyers and access to professional legal immigration experts, including email and chat support with prompt response times within general working hours.
- Ongoing Express Entry score tracking and management providing students with visibility, guidance and tips on their permanent residency pathways.
You will receive a free annual BorderPass Subscription for the regular duration of your program while enrolled in full-time programs.
There are additional optional services that you can subscribe to like a study permit extension application, PGWP application, co-op work permit application, spousal work permit, visitor visas, or SIN # registration. For these additional services, a small administrative fee may be applicable to BorderPass and/or Government Processing and Biometrics (where applicable) fees.
Please note that you will receive clear information as to any costs or fees before they are charged to you and you always have the ability to opt out of any BorderPass online services.
The platform is designed to provide you with online support through live chat and email. BorderPass provides a comprehensive step-by-step guide to help you understand exactly where you’re at in your immigration journey or specific permit application process.
Administrative fees are the cost of paying and administering government filing fees.
You can opt-out of using BorderPass at any time. Please note that if you choose to stop using BorderPass you will lose full access to the Document Vault, notifications of key dates, your relationship with BorderPass Canadian immigration lawyers, ongoing Express Entry tracking, and other newcomer essential services.
Yes, BorderPass supports dependent family members and applications can be submitted online using the BorderPass platform.

Information provided to and received through BorderPass is accessible only by you and your representatives at BorderPass. They will use your information in order to assist you with your application processes and immigration journey.

User data for legal record keeping purposes are retained until the User requests their destruction, and even then, BorderPass still retains some data for legal record keeping purposes under their Terms of Service. BorderPass retains such records for no less than the period prescribed by Applicable Laws including respective Provincial Law Society’s Guidelines on Retention and Destruction.
BorderPass takes User data security extremely seriously and has numerous technical and operational measures in place to ensure that customer data remains safe. BorderPass successfully completed the AICPA Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II audit, which confirms that their information security practices, policies, procedures, and operations meet the SOC 2 standards for security. Your application through BorderPass
BorderPass provides a comprehensive step-by-step guide to help you understand exactly where you’re at in your immigration journey or specific permit application process. You will receive email notifications, and be able to clearly see all of your upcoming key dates through BorderPass’ continuous visa monitoring and management and you will see all of your immigration documentation in your Document Vault. It takes approximately 5 business days for the BorderPass lawyers to review your information. This gives the lawyers time to ensure you are making the strongest submission possible.
All services on BorderPass are submitted through the Lawyers’ IRCC portal, and it is highly recommended that you track application or status updates directly through your BorderPass dashboard.
No. However, using BorderPass will provide you with a more complete, accurate, and professional application which is reviewed and submitted by a Canadian lawyer. No one can guarantee that an application can be approved as this is subject to IRCC discretion.
Yes! BorderPass lawyers will be available to assist you every step of the way.
Centennial staff cannot coordinate with BorderPass on your behalf to protect your privacy. BorderPass staff are extremely responsive and will be able to assist every step of your application journey. Providing information about your immigration status and journey is something you can choose to share with Centennial staff. Your Centennial staff will continue to be available to support you with immigration questions and all questions pertaining to your journey at Centennial College as you transition in, through and out of the College.
Access to BorderPass after Centennial
You will receive free annual access to the BorderPass Membership for the regular duration of your program, and for an additional 4 months post-graduation. After this, you may then purchase a subscription to BorderPass for continued access and immigration support, including if you choose to continue using the services to pursue PR. Please make sure to add your secondary email into your account settings here so that BorderPass can continue to keep you up-to-speed on key notifications and dates once you graduate.
The BorderPass services are available to students when they are enrolled at Centennial College.
After this, you may then purchase a subscription to BorderPass for continued access and immigration support, including if you choose to continue using the services to pursue PR.
If you withdraw from the College, your subscription will remain valid and will lapse at the end of the current study term. After this, you may then purchase a subscription to BorderPass for continued access and immigration support, including if you choose to continue using the services to pursue PR.
