| Description | This course explores emerging technologies, modern software architectures, and advanced software engineering practices that are shaping the future of application development. Students design, develop, and evaluate modern full-stack applications using contemporary web technologies, micro-frontend architectures, microservices, and modern API architectures, including GraphQL and gRPC. The course examines recent advances in artificial intelligence, including deep learning, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic RAG, autonomous AI agents, and intelligent automation, and demonstrates how to integrate on-device and cloud-based AI capabilities into distributed software systems. The curriculum emphasizes responsible AI-assisted development practices, enabling students to use AI tools to support software design, coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, documentation, and application modernization while applying critical evaluation, human oversight, security, privacy, ethics, and professional judgment. Through hands-on laboratories and comprehensive software development projects, students build innovative, scalable, and intelligent applications while developing the ability to evaluate, adopt, and apply emerging technologies throughout their professional careers.
