Description | This course equips students with the professional competence required to enter practice. Students will apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout their studies to the practical setting of institutional and community pharmacies. The experiential component will foster working knowledge in the preparation and distribution of pharmaceuticals, the roles and responsibilities of the pharmacy technician, and overview of the workflow processes in facilitating the smooth functioning of an effective and efficient pharmacy. Combining the theoretical background with practical experience, the course will deepen and strengthen the connections between knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and judgments necessary for critical professional functions and tasks. Students will demonstrate job-related proficiency for competent performance required at the entry to practice level in Canada. |
