This fall, Centennial College is launching a new, two-semester post-graduate program in Arts & Entertainment Journalism.
The program will be led by Errol Nazareth, a highly respected music journalist and CBC Radio host. Errol has been playing professionally with words for over 20 years, and has written for The Toronto Sun and the alternative weeklies NOW Magazine and Eye Weekly. Aside from co-producing and hosting Big City Small World every Saturday on CBC Radio 1 in Toronto, he's hosted national shows and guested on some of CBC Radio's most popular shows.
The new Arts & Entertainment Journalism program, offered at Centennial’s Story Arts Centre, features a strong focus on reporting, criticism, social media, imaging and multi-platform design. The program includes a six-week industry field placement.
“I’m excited to bring my passion for the arts to this new program at Centennial,” says Errol. “There are so many exciting things happening in music, theatre, dance, film and more here in Toronto. This program will provide students with the tools to cover arts, entertainment and popular culture from every angle.”
