headSTART Pre-Arrival Program

Starting college comes with a lot of questions, and headSTART is here to help.

headSTART is Centennial's pre-arrival student success program designed to help you feel more confident and prepared before your first day of classes. Through online modules, webinars, and newsletters, you'll learn about the personal, academic, and professional aspects of student life and discover resources, services, and opportunities available to you as a student.

From learning about health and wellness supports, tutoring services, and student discounts to understanding college expectations and preparing for your future career, headSTART helps answer questions you may not even know you have yet.

Why use headSTART?

Centennial is committed to your success, inside the classroom and beyond. We know it’s not enough to offer a few resources so you can get good grades. In fact, getting good grades starts with having everything else in balance: having a safe place to live, having what you need for class, holding a part-time job, accessing student resources when you need them and more. If you were spending a lot of money on a new product, you’d ask around to see what you needed to know about the product before you bought it. Think of headSTART as talking to a friend about what you need to know about starting at Centennial!

How to access headSTART

Access headSTART Centennial Luminate

We have made this part super easy – all you have to do is log in to Luminate! Here are the steps to log in:

  1. Go to: Centennial Luminate.
  2. Choose Student login
    1. User Name: Enter your 9-digit Centennial College Student ID (check your offer letter).
    2. Password: If this is your first time logging in, your password will be your date of birth (MMDDYY).
    3. Click the Hamburger (three horizontal lines) in the top left and select “Courses” and then select your headSTART course. You can also access through Tools > FlexlearnChoose Student login.
