Women in Non-Traditional Careers (WINTC)

Community Outreach provides support to female learners and students, to assist with the development of their academic and career goals, to build the capacity and readiness required to overcome social and economic barriers through motivation, advocacy, guidance and navigation. The Community Outreach team offers experiential opportunities and information about educational and career pathways, which are currently non-traditional to women, such as providing information and pathways to access education and careers within skilled trades (service and maintenance technicians from the transportation sector, culinary, science and technology), as well as through apprenticeships for female learners and students. Through collaboration and partnerships with community organizations serving women, and College services, we journey with women who are taking non-traditional pathways to access and persist with post-secondary education, employment, and career goals.
