This Pride season, we’re proud to highlight a powerful initiative happening at The Local Café at Centennial College.
From May 25 through June 30, student workers at The Local Café will be donating 100% of their gratuities to the 2SLGBTQ+ Pride Bursary, a vital fund that supports 2SLGBTQ+ students facing financial hardship, many of whom are navigating challenges like family estrangement or lack of safe housing.
Even more impactful, the Centennial College Student Association Inc. (CCSAI) has committed to matching funds raised up to $20,000, helping every dollar go even further in support of our students.
This initiative is more than just a fundraising effort. It’s about standing in solidarity with 2SLGBTQ+ students and ensuring they feel seen, supported, and valued.
