CCSAI Academic Supports: This fee supports peer-delivered supports including grade appeals and curriculum planning representation.
Copyright: Copyright Fees are charged each semester to all post-secondary students. The Copyright Fee provides funding for copyright awareness, education, and compliance training; and for permissions, clearances and licenses related to the reproduction and performance of materials (in print, digital and other formats) for educational purposes in compliance with the Copyright Act of Canada. Open Educational Resources: This fee supports the development of Open Educational Resources (OER) for use by the Centennial College community. OER are teaching and learning resources published under an open license that are free to access and use. OER can range from course learning materials to textbooks and whole courses. The fee enables students to be hired to support development of no-cost textbooks and learning materials for Centennial students through the College’s Co-operative Education Program. The OER initiative focuses on high-enrolment courses with historically high textbook costs to maximize savings for as many students as possible.
Student Community, Engagement and Transitions Fee: A suite of intentional and transformative programming designed to enable all students to thrive through their transition to, and journey through, college towards their goals of graduation and employment.
Technology Fee: Technology Fees are charged each semester to all post-secondary students. This fee supports software licensing, electronic mail accounts, Internet access, Wi-Fi in the College and other technology-based resources for students.
Testing (Placement Assessment): Students entering most programs at Centennial are required to complete their skills assessment testing for English placement in their program. Some programs also require Math testing as well. Paid once.
The Basic Needs for Student Success Fee: This fee supports students in meeting their basic needs, including food and housing insecurity, through a continuum of proactive and responsive programs and services (e.g., basic needs resource coordinator, in-person and virtual resource centres, food pantries, food banks, food literacy, housing literacy, temporary on-campus emergency housing lease and supplies, etc.) The fee does not cover individual hardship in scope of the Student Access and Hardship Fund.
Transitions to College: 8-week Focus for Academics: This fee supports an 8-week program focusing on academic and personal success through transitional activities and events.

Centennial recognizes that many from our local neighbourhoods have life obligations and responsibilities, which may make attendance at Centennial a challenge. This fee is used to provide programs to assist youth, women, and Indigenous citizens and community members to find ways to access and be successful in post-secondary education in a way that is respectful of their life commitments and responsibilities.

This allows us to support some work from the graduate employment task force and/or a research project we'll be investigating - where the outcomes might need funding to sustain.
Leadership Development for Career Success: The fee supports the exploration of leadership experiences that further support leadership learning and development opportunities toward the Leadership Passport and Distinction in Leadership credential.
Leadership Development (Leadership Conference): This fee supports the delivery of a leadership conference focused on exploring Inclusive Leadership and Diversity. Student Clubs and Organizations: Enhance your student experience and engage with peers and foster a sense of community through student clubs ranging from Aspiring Young Professionals or Weightlifting, to Beyond the Books or Zumba World and more; or start your own social, academic or hobby club.
Student Lead Advocacy Fee: This fee supports student lead advocacy nationally and provincially.
Student Lobbying: The College Student Alliance, a parliamentary group that works with provincial government and public sector policy makers is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization that believes in working collaboratively with post-secondary education (PSE) stakeholders and government to improve the college experience. The CSA is an advocating voice on behalf of Ontario college students in partnership with student leaders.
Student Media: All students receive a student handbook/day planner to assist in time management, planning and keeping your day-to-day life at Centennial organized.
The Centennial College Student Association Incorporation (CCSAI) produces an engaging and informative magazine, “The Courier’. A print and online magazine produced by students, for students this magazine is filled with news, arts and lifestyle, varsity sports, and health and fitness articles, student profiles, and more.
Transforming the Future: Every year the CCSAI pledges up to $100,000 to support transforming the future of Centennial College. All you have to do is put together a proposal for an initiative that you feel will make a difference for years to come. We review all of the submissions and fund the very best ideas. The opportunity is open to all Centennial College students.
The funded initiatives of last term included the acquisition of energy/nap pods, Sonocent note-taking software, vegetable trug gardens, lockable charging stations, a Self-serving laptop loan unit at Progress, and a patio refresh at the Ashtonbee Student Centre.

Mental Health and Wellness Programming: Programs and services (peer supports, workshops, psycho-educational groups, digital communications) to support positive mental health and build resilience among the student population to enhance personal, social, and academic success.
