| Description | This course explores the ethical principles and professional standards that guide the practice of pharmacy technicians in Canada. Learners will examine the Code of Ethics, legal responsibilities, and professional expectations as outlined by regulatory body and professional associations. Through case studies, ethical decision-making frameworks, and reflective exercises, learners will apply ethical reasoning to real-world scenarios and develop professional judgment in situations involving patient safety, conflict of interest, and workplace challenges. The course emphasizes the importance of continuous professional development, collaboration within interprofessional teams, and adherence to legal and ethical obligations. By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate behaviors consistent with NAPRA (National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities) competencies, upholding the principles of ethical and patient-centered pharmacy practice.
