| Description | This lab course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to deal with skin disorders, skin diseases, and specialized advanced esthetic procedures. Connection on how the integumentary system reacts when clients are going through illness, and other challenges with a focus on client consultation. The student will have the opportunity to work with advanced skincare products, and technologies to include, microdermabrasion, light therapy, currents, ultrasound, and medical devices approved by Health Canada. Client education is an integral component of this course with emphasis on home care recommendations and following a prescribed treatment course. Prerequisites
