What is Engagement Week?
Engagement Week serves as a component of Centennial’s ongoing commitment to supporting student success. Engagement Week (Reading Week) offers students an opportunity to participate in virtual and in-person events that include personal development sessions, skill building programs and social gatherings. We invite you to take this week to do what you need to recharge, catch up, reconnect or take a break!
What can we expect from Engagement Week?
For the Fall 2026 Engagement Week, there will be both indoor and outdoor activities that allow you to take full advantage of the fall time in Toronto and the surrounding area. Please check the Engagement Week page for updates about events and registrations.

In today's diverse and interconnected world, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across cultures is an important skill for academic success, personal growth, and future opportunities. Join this online session to learn about the Intercultural Fluency Digital Badge, a self-paced program designed to help you build intercultural competence, cultural awareness, and communication skills.
We'll provide an overview of the badge, walk through the course with a live demo, and answer your questions. You'll also learn about the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) assessment and one-on-one debrief session, available at no cost to the first 100 students who complete the badge.
Engagement Week is a great time to get started with this flexible, self-directed learning opportunity and invest in skills that will help you navigate and thrive in diverse environments.

Explore the Toronto Zoo with Fellow Centennial Students! Join Transitions and Student Life for a fun day at the Toronto Zoo. Your free weekday admission membership will be activated and sent to your myCentennial email in advance. If you haven’t activated your membership yet, please register NOW. On Oct 27, simply arrive at the zoo (2000 Meadowvale Rd, Toronto, ON M1B 5K7) and present your digital membership at the front gate. Please bring your myCard, as it’s required to confirm your ticket. Staff will be on-site to assist with membership activation if needed

Join fellow students at Progress Campus for a fun college movie screening featuring The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Enjoy a memorable Halloween-season movie night, connect with the campus community, and enjoy free snacks while watching a cult-classic film.
Whether you love horror-themed events, classic movies, or fun student activities, this event is a great opportunity to unwind, meet fellow students, and experience campus life at Centennial College.

As the seasons change, winter invites us to slow down, rest, and restore our energy. Join Student Life, in collaboration with The Eighth Fire, for an interactive workshop with Medicine Knowledge Keeper Tanya Gluvakov exploring Indigenous knowledge on seasonal wellness and rest. Participants will learn about traditional medicines and teachings related to the seasons, while reflecting on ways to rest, recharge, and care for their wellbeing. The workshop will also include a hands-on opportunity to create your own cedar salve to take home.
About the Knowledge Keeper
Tanya Gluvakov is a mixed Mohawk woman with family and roots in Six Nations of the Grand River, Ohsweken, Ontario. Raised in Toronto, she now leads projects focused on the resurgence of Indigenous medicines and increasing access to these teachings and practices within urban and suburban communities.
This workshop is open to enrolled full-time Centennial College students. Registration is required, and participation is limited to 30 students.

As part of Engagement Week and Halloween Celebration, CCSAI will offer students discounted tickets to Night of Lights. Students can enjoy the seasonal experience with friends while taking advantage of an exclusive CCSAI student ticket price.
