Our talented students at the Story Arts Centre are constantly engaged in the real world of communications, media and design, creating media with expert assistance and direction from faculty in a uniquely professional and creative environment. Take a look at what our students have been working on.

The Journal

The Journal is a half-hour newsmagazine TV show produced by fourth semester students and webcast up to eight times each semester. The Journal is a thought-provoking mix of entertainment and news programming. Students rotate through different roles, including show producer, field production, writing, producing, directing, shooting and editing. With features like Points of View, the City Beat, Special Investigations, Days in the Life, Guerilla Consumer, Healthy Living, Special Documentaries and in-studio interviews and performances, the Journal has something for everyone.

Toronto Observer Online

Students enrolled in journalism programs at Centennial College produce a well-known bi-weekly local print newspaper, the East Toronto Observer, and its sister online news site, Toronto Observer, serving East York, and Scarborough including Malvern and West Hill.

Centennial Journalism's Weblog

News, photos, and multimedia content is produced by the students in the Centennial College Journalism program in Toronto, including the students in the University of Toronto/Centennial College joint program in Journalism as part of their course work or as outside writing projects. Content is edited and moderated by journalism faculty, and serves as a showcase of each student’s best work

On the Danforth

On the Danforth is a bi-annual magazine produced by students at Centennial College in the Book and Magazine Publishing program. The magazine showcases the culture, lifestyle, and arts of the Danforth area of Toronto. It is distributed free to local households and at the annual local food festival, Taste of the Danforth.

Fine Arts Studio Program Gallery

The Fine Arts Studio Program is an intensive two-year studio program, best suited for artists who like to get their hands dirty. Drawing skills are at the heart of, and essential to, success in all the visual art industries. Students have the opportunity to build their portfolio and showcase their works with the College community.
