The Queering Community Student Collective (QCSC) is a student community space for 2SLGBTQQIA+ students and allies at Centennial College. We focus on building connections, creating community, and giving students opportunities to meet, learn, and spend time together.
No. You do not need to be “out,” use a particular label, or explain your identity to participate in QCSC. Whether you identify as 2SLGBTQQIA+, are questioning, or are still figuring things out, you are welcome.
Allies are also welcome. We ask everyone, including allies, to respect the purpose of the space, listen to 2SLGBTQQIA+ students’ experiences, and respect other people’s names, pronouns, privacy, and boundaries.
Our bi-weekly meetups are casual and low-pressure. Depending on the week, we might have a discussion, creative activity, game, or simply time to hang out and talk.
You do not need to know anyone before coming, and there is no pressure to speak or participate in every activity. You can come on your own or bring a friend, join in as much as you’re comfortable with, or simply listen and spend time with the group.
No. You do not need to attend every meetup to be part of QCSC, and there is no ongoing commitment required. You are welcome to drop in whenever your schedule allows.
No sign-in is required for regular bi-weekly meetups unless otherwise stated for a specific event.
Yes! You’re welcome to attend any QCSC meetup, even if it is not at the campus where you usually study.
For Fall 2026, regular meetups are currently being held at Progress and Ashtonbee campuses. Check our webpage, Teams Channel, or Instagram for current meetup locations and dates.

We respect students’ privacy and ask everyone not to share another person’s identity, personal story, or participation in QCSC without their permission.
We also ask for consent before taking or sharing photos of students. You do not need to be photographed to participate, and you can always let someone from the QCSC team know if you do not want to appear in photos or social media posts.
We want QCSC to be a respectful and welcoming community space. We ask everyone to respect people’s names, pronouns, identities, boundaries, and different experiences.
Listen without judgment, avoid making assumptions about others, and give people space to participate in the way that feels comfortable for them.
If something happens during a meetup or event that makes you uncomfortable, you are welcome to speak with someone from the QCSC team.
Yes. In addition to bi-weekly meetups, QCSC hosts and collaborates on events throughout the year, including social activities, educational events, community-building activities, and Pride programming.

Absolutely. QCSC is shaped by the students who participate in it, and we welcome ideas for discussions, activities, collaborations, and events. You can talk to someone from the QCSC team during a meetup or email your ideas to QueeringCommunity@centennialcollege.ca.
Absolutely. There are different ways to get involved beyond attending meetups, including helping with events, sharing ideas, and supporting community-building initiatives. We’re also looking for students who may be interested in helping grow QCSC and lead community-building efforts at other Centennial College campuses. No. QCSC is a student community and connection space, not a counselling or crisis service. If you are looking for mental health support, counselling, or other services, someone from the QCSC team can help connect you with appropriate Centennial College or community resources.
