Level Up Your Cyber Game
Cybersecurity is everyone's responsibility.
Every day, cybercriminals target students, faculty, and staff through phishing emails, fraudulent websites, social engineering tactics, and emerging AI-enabled scams. Understanding these threats and knowing how to respond can help reduce the risk of cyber incidents.
This October, join Centennial College's Cybersecurity Awareness Month to learn practical ways to protect your accounts, devices, and personal information. Throughout the month, you'll have opportunities to explore cybersecurity topics through educational resources, awareness activities, quizzes, puzzles, and interactive challenges.
No cybersecurity experience required. Just show up, play, and level up your cyber skills.
What is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an annual campaign dedicated to helping our college community stay safe online.
Led by Centennial College's Cybersecurity Team, the campaign provides students, staff, and faculty with practical knowledge and easy-to-follow guidance to protect their accounts, devices, and personal information.
What's New for 2026?
This Year's Theme: Level Up Your Cyber Game
Technology is evolving fast, and so are cyber threats.
Artificial Intelligence is making scams more convincing than ever. From phishing emails and deepfake videos to fake voice calls and impersonation attempts, it is becoming harder to tell what is real and what is not.
This year's campaign focuses on helping you build the skills needed to spot modern cyber threats and make safer online decisions.
You'll learn how to:
- Spot phishing emails and AI-generated scams
- Recognize deepfakes and impersonation attempts
- Create stronger cyber habits
- Protect your accounts with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Understand how social engineering tricks people into sharing information
- Stay safer online at school, work, and home
Learn Through Activities
This year, cybersecurity awareness is becoming more interactive and engaging than ever.
Look out for:
- Cybersecurity Games
- Puzzles and Challenges
- Interactive Booth Activities
- Short Awareness Videos
- Quizzes and Competitions
- Opportunities to Win Prizes
Whether you're a beginner or a cybersecurity enthusiast, there will be activities for everyone.
Why Cybersecurity Matters
Cyber threats are becoming faster, smarter, and more difficult to recognize.
Today's attackers use:
- AI-powered phishing and scams
- Deepfake voice and video impersonation
- Social engineering and identity deception
- Exploitation of unpatched systems and vulnerabilities
These threats affect everyone. Students, faculty, and staff all play an important role in keeping our community secure.
Remember: You are the first line of defense.
A single click can create risk.
A moment of awareness can prevent it.
