English Language Learning (ELL) is a full-time multi-level program for international students who want to improve their English language skills. If you're an international student, this program will help you improve your language skills, so you can succeed in college, university, or your career.

English Language Learning (ELL) offers you the opportunity to improve your English language skills, which will help you when applying to college or university courses, or starting a career.
In the English Language Learning program, you can improve your English language skills, while qualifying to study at Centennial College full-time.
When you complete the program, you will be able to live, work and study in an English-speaking environment, or return home with a greater understanding of English language and Canadian culture.

Education Pathways
Students completing ELL level 5 have direct pathways/entry to college communication courses in their main program if they meet the criteria. If students receive a score of 60% at the end of the full semester, they do not need to take any additional testing to enter their main program.

The English Language Learning Program is fully accredited by Languages Canada.

Academic Requirements
English Language Learning (ELL) is designed for International students who wish to upgrade their English skills. If you are an international student and are interested in this program, please contact the Centennial College International Centre.
You cannot apply to this program at Ontariocolleges.ca.
How to Apply
- Download and complete the application form.

- Please email the completed and signed application form, along with scanned copies of your academic transcripts, to the Regional Admissions Team Member for your country of residence, which you can find here. You can also contact them to check your application status.
- Note: If you have taken an English test within the last two years, include a scanned copy. However, prior English proficiency testing is not required for admission to this program.
- Upon receiving an offer of acceptance, pay your fees to secure a seat in your program.
- Apply for a study permit using your Centennial College offer letter, fee receipt and other documents required by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (www.cic.gc.ca).
- Notify the admissions team if your study permit application is approved.
- Plan to complete your registration in person upon arrival at the Centennial College International Centre.
Note: Copies of your original documents, passport and study permit are required.

Tuition and Fees
Fees noted below are estimates only. Tuition is based on the English Language Learning (ELL) program 15, 13, 9, 6 and 3 week durations beginning Fall 2025.

Domestic and international part-time students are charged mandatory health insurance and incidental fees. Incidental fees include student service fee, technology fee, student activity fee, and program incidental fees.
Centennial College reserves the right to make changes, without prior notice, affecting but not limited to areas such as admission procedures, tuition, other fees, courses of instruction, program location, programs of study and general regulations. Centennial College will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by the student as a result of such changes.
International students who choose not to study at Centennial College after accepting an offer will be charged a $2,000 non-refundable tuition fee.
International Student Support Fee
The International Student Support Fee supports the mental health of international students by providing access to counselling services that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via different methods including in-person, telephone and online.
