Official Rules and Regulations
Contest Period
The Centennial College ("Centennial") Enter to Win Prizes Contest (the "Contest") is administered by Centennial and runs from 12:01 a.m. (EST) September 1, 2026, to 11:59 p.m. (EST) on August 31, 2027 (the “Contest Period”).
By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules (the “Official Rules”) and all decisions of Centennial, which are final in all matters relating to this Contest.
To Enter
Entering the Contest is free. You may enter in one of the following ways during the Contest Period:
- Complete and submit a paper entry form during any official Centennial College recruitment event/visit by providing, at minimum, your name and email address; or
- Complete and submit an online form through centennialcollege.ca/win
All entries must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on August 31, 2027 (the “Contest Closing Date”). Mandatory completion of the online or paper entry form is necessary for an entrant’s chance of winning a Prize (as defined below). Entrants who provide consent will receive future emails from Centennial for informational and promotional purposes.
There is a limit of one (1) entry per individual during the Contest Period regardless of the method of entry. If an entrant enters more than once the entrant may be disqualified and all their entries disqualified.
All entries become the sole property of Centennial and will not be returned. Centennial will not be responsible for lost, late, delayed, illegible, incomplete or misdirected entries or for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number. Centennial assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or websites during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network lines, online computer systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email system or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website associated with the Contest or the Prizes, as defined below.
Eligibility
To be eligible to win a Prize in the Contest, an individual must be a potential student to Centennial College, and must have completed and submitted a Contest form.
In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The winner may be required to provide proof that they are the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry name change.
Persons ineligible to win the Contest include employees of Centennial and their immediate family members (defined as parents, guardians, children, siblings or spouses), regardless of where they reside.
Prize
Twelve prizes (each a “Prize") are available to be won. Each Prize consists of either one Centennial attire (from among hoodies, sweaters, shirts, hats) or an Introductory Flight provided by Toronto Airways; each Prize has a retail value of $10 - $250 Canadian dollars. One consolation prize with a retail value of $3 – $9 Canadian dollars (lanyard, bag, sunglasses, blue light glasses) will be offered to all Contest entrants.
Introductory Flight Eligibility – To be eligible for this Prize, participants must be at least 14 years of age. Participants under the age of majority who are selected for the Introductory Flight, must receive parental or guardian approval prior to participating. All participants must also be able to safely reach and operate the aircraft controls. A consolation prize of one Centennial attire will be awarded if the participant does not meet the eligibility requirements for this prize.
Awarding the Prize
A draw will be held on a random date at the end of each month during the Contest Period from among all eligible entries received by Centennial up to the end of that given month. Each eligible entry will be numbered. The numbers will be entered into a randomizer which will generate a numbered entry eligible to win the Prize. There are twelve (12) prizes to be won from among all the eligible entrants received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the random draw date for a given month.
One Introductory Flight prize will be awarded at the end of January 2027, and a second Introductory Flight prize will be awarded at the end of May 2027.
The winning entrant will be contacted by email or telephone at the email address and/or telephone number set out on the entry form. The winning entrant will be required to successfully answer unaided, a time-limited, mathematically-based skill-testing question before the Prize will be awarded.
The winning entrant must sign a declaration that (i) provides Centennial with the entrant’s full name (printed) and signature; (ii) contains the correct answer to the skill-testing question (which must be answered by the entrant without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise); (iii) contains a statement that the entrant has read, understood and complied with these Official Rules and the entrant is eligible to enter according to these Official Rules; (iv) grants Centennial permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, and area of residence for the purposes of print, broadcast, digital or other advertising without further compensation.
In the event that the winning entrant has not yet reached the age of 18 years or the age of majority in the winning entrant’s province or territory of residence, then the winning entrant’s parent/legal guardian must sign the declaration to confirm compliance and consent with these Official Rules and to accept the Prize on behalf of the winning entrant.
The Prize will only be awarded upon the validation and verification of the winning entrant. If a winning entrant is unable or unwilling to comply with these Official Rules, or if the winning entrant cannot be reached after three attempts, or if there is notification that the email is undeliverable, the entry will be disqualified and another entry will be randomly drawn from the remaining eligible entries until such time as the Prize is awarded or there are no more eligible entries.
No cash alternative or substitution of the Prize is provided, except that Centennial, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the Prize is unavailable for any reason.
Without limiting the generality of any other terms set out in these Official Rules, the following general conditions apply to the Prize: (i) By accepting the Prize, the winning entrant agrees to waive all recourse against Centennial, its governors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns for any reason whatsoever including if the Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part; and (ii) Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution, is not transferable, not for resale and has no cash surrender value.
Any additional costs (including compulsory non-tuition-related fees, parking or locker fees or fees associated with visas or work permits) and any applicable taxes associated with the Prize and incurred by the winning entrant are the sole responsibility of the winner and not the responsibility of Centennial.
A winner list will be available fifteen (15) business days after each Contest draw. To receive a copy of the winner list, please send your request in writing with a self-addressed stamped envelope to:
